I'm looking at this post thinking about how much I didn't do this past year, mostly surrounding the one blog post I've written, but when I turn back to reflect on the year, it was a massive foundation year, building a base for what (I hope) is going to be an amazing 2018 and beyond.
I finally went to Finland and met my family there, and it was so lovely and made me so happy, and I came home from the trip with an engagement ring from the greatest guy I could probably marry.
I also transitioned to build my list as an agent with The Rights Factory, which is my dream job. I have some super talented clients so far, and I can't wait to share their stories with the world.
I also did a lot of introspection about my own creativity. I've been having a difficult time focusing on actually finishing a book, and whether that has to do with time or focus or simply organizing my life properly, I don't know. What I discovered was my stories are not necessarily all books, and I have plans for a film script, a podcast, and a game.
Another aspect of my life that is growing back to normal is working with horses. After I hurt my back, I had to sell my horse because I was out of commission for too long and it wasn't fair. Starting back at the beginning and working on solidifying my fundamentals and muscles has been great, and I'm starting to feel like myself again, even though I still push myself over the top more days than I'd care to admit ;)
I'm not going to go through my goals from last year, and instead focus on the future. Here goes.
1. Blog more often
2. Work on Transience (book), Codex Found (podcast), FURY (film)
3. Work as hard as I can to secure my clients the best deals and make some dreams come true.
4. Get Married!!
5. Work on my equestrian-art boutique
6. Spend as much time as I can with my friends and family.
From me to you, enjoy this time of introspection, and have a safe and happy New Year's!
